Anno 1989

Baschieri & Pellagri obtain an exclusive licence for the manufacture of Gordon system cases.
Anno 2000 Baschieri & Pellagri become sole owners of the Gordon patent for the manufacture of Gordon system cases.
This is the only real breakthrough in shell case production since the first cases. Cases have now become active thanks to the Gordon system.

Since 1989, B&P has been exclusively licensed to use Gordon System patent, a new and revolutionary method for manufacturing cartridges cases.

The characteristic of the inner base of case is the cone-shaped profile and a progressive absorbing springing system in the firing stage. This empty case "mobility" enables a pressure reduction but above all reduces the physiological effect of recoil: the cartridges will be softer, performances being equal. This special cone-shaped base improves the powder combustion and then the ammunition performances.

Compared to the traditional case resulting very efficacious from the structural point of view but basically passive from the ballistic one, the Gordon system case can be considered a very active component of the cartridge.

The original technical versatility largely depends on the fact that, having not to be compressed in the assembling stage, the internal reinforcement piece of the Gordon empty case can be preshaped with profiles suitable to the ballistic performances, technically more sophisticated and, in practice, more profitable.
